SUPREME COATING SYSTEMS

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Are you happy to provide Quotations for individual residential customers?

Yes, by all means!

2. Do you charge a call-out fee?

No. We do service the larger Perth Metro area and would always want to assess an area before making recommendations. We consider this customer service. Since we do service all of WA, we will discuss potential costing for remote jobs or quotations beforehand.

3. How long have you been in business?

In WA since the beginning of 2013 and we bring years of expertise from overseas.

4. What are the typical products you use?

We pride ourselves to recommend and jointly select the most appropriate products for different applications, desired outcomes, and budgets. We are fortunate that we have established long term relationships with manufacturers of high end products. This enables us to source the best products at best prices for our customers. Sometimes relatively low cost acrylic resins are the best choice for a project and sometimes it must be a product from the more expensive polyurea family. We will empower you to make the best decision for your needs.

5. Do you provide a warranty?

Yes. We offer a warranty for workmanship and the product performance. We usually give a 10 year warranty.

6. We have seen your products advertised and installed. How is this stunning finish achieved?

Design finishes are usually achieved by applying a repeatable pattern to a surface. These patterns make a surface appear to be exposed aggregate concrete (and it does not really matter to what this is applied; for example, many customers are sick of tired looking limestone surfaces and we can make them look completely different; you could also have it applied to timber or chipboard). A standard design finish on top of a concrete surface is no thicker than 1.5mm and yet it is strong enough to cope with car, forklift, skid-steer, and truck traffic.

7. How slippery is a new surface?

That entirely depends on you because we can manipulate the finish to suit your needs. We are partnering with the experts in slip resistance testing in Perth and have many years experience in applying anti-slip floors and floors with defined anti-slip properties. In commercial premises there are strict rules for floors in regards to anti-slip performance. In residential properties this is a little less. In private properties there are almost none (councils might demand that certain areas have a minimum anti-slip performance; such as the driveway cross-over).

8. How often do we need to apply a maintenance coat?

Never! Beautifully said. Sounds good. Is not entirely true, though. In general you do not need any maintenance (apart from cleaning up spills in a timely manner) during the warranty period. After that, your products will still continue to perform but may require some maintenance. If your use is above the standard rate, you may also require inspections to determine the wear.
